Agency or independent: making the right choice
One of the first decisions you'll make is whether to work with an agency or go it alone. There's no universally right answer. It depends on your experience, your time and how much of the setup you want to handle yourself.
Here are both paths, honestly.
What working with B&Co. looks like
Agencies vary a lot, so it helps to be specific. This is what we provide:
Platform setup and strategy
We start on Stripchat, and add OnlyFans later if you want it. We help you set up your profile, pricing and schedule, and work out what to change as you go.
Privacy setup
Geoblocking your home region and keeping your stage identity separate from your real one, from the start.
Leak monitoring and takedowns
We watch for your content appearing where it shouldn't and file takedown requests when it does.
Professional promo shoots
We shoot your promotional stills and video.
A 1-to-1 mentor
Every creator is paired with a mentor who is a working creator herself. She handles your training and is there to ask whenever you need.
Written terms, no upfront fees
Everything is agreed in writing before you sign. There is nothing to pay upfront.
Your accounts stay yours
You own your accounts and your content. If you leave, they go with you.
The drawbacks
Commission
An agency takes a share of what you earn. The question is whether the support is worth more to you than that share.
Working with someone else
A good agency respects your decisions, but you are still working alongside other people and their way of doing things.
A contract
You'll be agreeing terms. Read them properly and ask questions before signing.
Quality varies
Not every agency is good. Due diligence matters.
Going independent
Going independent is a genuinely good option for some people.
The advantages
You keep everything you earn
Apart from the platform's own cut, the money is yours.
Complete control
Every decision is yours: style, schedule, pricing and platforms.
No contract
No commitments to anyone else.
The drawbacks
You do all of it
Setup, pricing, privacy, promotion, and dealing with leaks if they happen. That takes time to learn.
Trial and error
Without someone who has done it, you work out what goes wrong by having it go wrong.
Nobody to ask
Working alone can be isolating, especially in the quiet early weeks.
Who an agency suits
- You're new and want guidance getting started
- You want privacy and leak monitoring handled properly from day one
- You'd like someone experienced to ask while you learn
- You'd rather not shoot your own promo material
Who going independent suits
- You already have experience and know your way around the platforms
- You're confident with privacy settings and handling takedowns yourself
- You want full control over every decision
- You have the time to run every part of it
Questions to help you decide
- Do I want to learn the setup myself, or be shown?
- How confident am I about privacy and leaks?
- Do I have the time to handle everything?
- Would I value someone who's done it to ask?
The bottom line
Neither path is better for everyone. If you have the experience and the time, going independent means you keep everything you earn beyond the platform's cut. If you'd rather start with setup, privacy and a mentor in place, an agency can help, as long as the terms are clear and in writing.
