Black Friday on cam: run a promotion without cheapening your room

Black Friday trains everyone to look for a deal, including the people in your room. A short, planned promotion can bring in viewers who've been watching without tipping. A badly planned one teaches your regulars to wait for discounts.

Black Friday is 27 November 2026, and Cyber Monday is 30 November.

Discount the extras, not the core

Keep your usual tip menu prices for the things people already pay for. Make the promotion about something new or bundled instead: a two-for-one on a popular request, a Black Friday-only menu item, or a bonus when a room goal is hit. Your normal prices stay normal on Monday.

Make it short and dated

One weekend, or a single evening, works better than a week. A clear end time gives people a reason to act now, and it stops the promotion becoming your new normal.

Tell people before the day

Announce it in your room topic and to your regulars a few days ahead, and say exactly when you'll be live. A promotion nobody knows about is just a cheaper evening.

Plan the hours around it

The weekend after Black Friday is busy online. If you can, add an extra session or extend your usual one rather than moving it. Consistency still matters more than any single event.

After it ends

Write down what you offered, how long you streamed and what you made, then compare it with a normal weekend. That's how you know whether to run it again at Christmas.
